The workshop named Dramatization in English for high school students was held on September 11th, 2019 in the school. The teacher who provided the workshop was Fiona Doreen Jackson; she told us that she was here to study her PhD in Education.
The objective was to show us what dramatization implies for later we can apply it in our learning project and put it into practice. Although, first activity we did was a game that consisted on creating teams depending on what the teacher said and that was useful to have more energy, so with this activity I can learn one of the most important aspects of acting that is to have energy. The second activity was to write a part of a poem or a song in English with this I could see the level of my creativity to improvise because that is so important when you are acting because if you forget your dialogues you can continue acting and not stop.
The third activity was with our teams of project and it was about doing a brief scene according to the place the teacher had given us. To do it, we had to practice and be creative, then we presented it in front of our classmates and the teacher. With this activity I could implement dramatization in a situation of the real life.
The most I liked about the workshop was the message that the teacher transmitted us about the opportunity that I have to study and have experiences that allow me to progress in the future. Also, I liked the third activity because I can see the funny side of some situations that happen to us and in this way I will be able to build my learning project and have more knowledge about the most important aspects of dramatization.
Finally, I can say that this workshop was very useful specially because the teacher has a particular way of transmitting the topics and she makes that the time passes quickly. It was a funny way of learning some important aspects about dramatization in English, which is very helpful for the project.
